From Press Release
Cleveland State University head lacrosse coach Dylan Sheridan announced that 17 student-athletes have committed to join the program for the 2017-18 academic year. They will join CSU as true freshmen in the fall in 2017.
The 2017 CSU recruiting class includes student-athletes from eight states and one Canadian province. Four are from Pennsylvania, including Shipley School midfielder Nick Yi – who like the other Keystone State natives play for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club.
Cleveland State makes its debut when it hosts Michigan Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017.
CSU features assistant coach Andy German, formerly the head coach at St. Joseph’s Prep and an assistant at Villanova.

“I chose the school because Cleveland State University has everything I want in a school. The community is very nice, and the people are great as well. The college has a separate engineering school as well as another one being built. Also, the coaches are amazing people and have been the best to my family and me. The lacrosse program is just beginning, and I am excited to be a part of this new start-up program.”

Cleveland State was my absolute favorite school out of all that I visited. It is a great, affordable school in a fantastic city. On the athletic side of things, I believe CSU’s lacrosse team will be very successful. They have the best of the best coaches in the game of lacrosse and they will do whatever it takes to be successful. I wanted to be a part of the newfound success at CSU.

I chose Cleveland State University because of the academic career paths that the school offers as well as the ability to play competitive lacrosse under the wing of a fantastic coaching staff. Coach Sheridan and Coach German emanate a great energy. As a goalie, it is an amazing opportunity to have Coach Bernlohr’s experience and expertise.
