Wolf, Gurenlian, Adams, Durkin help US dominate Denver at USA Spring Premiere; McCool helps lead US women past Syracuse

Jordan Wolf (Lower Merion, Duke) scored four goals and Greg Gurenlian (Springfield-Delco, Penn State) won 13 of 16 face-offs while Drew Adams (Springfield-Delco. Penn State) yielded just one goal and Tucker Durkin (La Salle, Johns Hopkins) led the defense as the US Men’s National team whipped nationalchampion Denver, 22-6, Sunday in an exhibition as part of the Team USA Spring Premiere before a crowd of 1,250 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL

Durkin had a groundball and Adams had three saves in a half of play.

Denver was playing without 11 players due to injuries, illness and academic issues. The US led, 14-1, at halftime.

Earlier Sunday, the United States women’s national lacrosse team toppled No. 3 Syracuse 20-8 to finish 2-0 at the Spring Premiere at IMG Academy.

Marie McCool, the Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year in 2014 for Moorestown High and one of the youngest players on Team USA, had a goal.

The U.S. is preparing for the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship in Guildford, England.
