A five-year member of Hartford’s men’s lacrosse team, Yee was a part of the 2011 team that captured the program’s first America East Championship title and NCAA Tournament bid. Missing the 2012 campaign with an injury, he bounced back to earn back-to-back America East All-Conference nods, including First Team distinction in 2014. Also a NEILA All-Region Division I Second Team pick in 2014, Yee logged time in 54 career games and finished his career with 36 points via 16 goals and 20 assists.
“Adam has proven that he has the drive to be successful at whatever he puts his mind to, whether it be law school or playing lacrosse at a high level,” explained head coach Peter Lawrence. “I look forward to going to watch him play against the Connecticut Blackwolves this winter.”
For two seasons, Yee served as Hartford’s faceoff specialist, where he won 53.5 percent (326-of-647) of his duels at the X. That mark stands as fourth-best faceoff win percentage in program history. In addition, with 223 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers, he is ranked ninth in both departments in the Hawks’ career record books.
In 2015, Yee was a regular at midfield, scoring five goals and 10 assists in 10 games.
A native of Newtown Square, Pa., Yee received a degree in politics and government from the College of Arts and Sciences last May. Yee, who assisted with the Philly Faceoff League, played for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club.
Last season, Rochester finished second in the East Division with a 12-6 overall record. The Knighthawks will open their 22nd season against the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena in Rochester.
