Phillylacrosse Boys’ Rankings: Kennett enters Top 15

The Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Rankings:

  1. Haverford School (7-3) – The Fords host No. 3 Malvern Prep Friday at 3:30 p.m.
  2. Garnet Valley (6-0) – The Jaguars host Marple Newtown Tuesday in a Central League game.
  3. Malvern Prep (4-4) – The Friars host Academy of the New Church Tuesday afternoon.
  4. Academy of the New Church (9-1) – The Lions suffered a 9-7 loss to Princeton Day School and look to rebound Tuesday at Malvern Prep.
  5. Manheim Township (6-1) – The Blue Streaks downed Conestoga, 11-6, and face a challenging week with home games vs. Hempfield Wednesday and Avon Grove Saturday.
  6. Avon Grove (5-0) – The Devils have three big road games this week at Downingtown East (Tuesday), Kennett (Thursday) and Manheim Township (Saturday).
  7. West Chester East (6-0) – The Vikings host cross-town rival Bayard Rustin Tuesday.
  8. Springfield-Delco (5-1) – The Cougars have a key Central League game Thursday at Radnor.
  9. Conestoga (5-2) – The Pioneers host Haverford High Tuesday.
  10. Radnor (5-1) – The Raiders have two big Central league games this week, Tuesday at Strath Haven and Thursday at home vs. Springfield-Delco.
  11. Parkland (7-0) – The Trojans remain perfect after a 15-8 win over Nazareth.
  12. La Salle (3-3) – The Explorers host Father Judge Tuesday.
  13. Hempfield (6-1) – The Black Knights play Wednesday at Manheim Township.
  14. Salesianum School-DE (2-3) – The Sals fell to St. Joseph Collegiate (NY), 13-10, on Saturday after downing Eden, 16-5, in an Upstate NY road trip.
  15. Kennett (7-0) – The Blue Demons enter the Phillylacrosse rankings for the first time ever and face their sternest test Thursday at home vs. Avon Grove.

Under Consideration: Allentown Central Catholic (2-1), Bishop Shanahan (5-1) Cape Henlopen-DE (4-1), Central Bucks East (3-2), Central Bucks West (5-0), Downingtown East (4-2), Lenape-NJ (2-1), Palmyra (4-1), Penn Charter (2-5), Shawnee-NJ (3-0), Shipley (5-0), St. Augustine Prep-NJ (4-0), Strath Haven (4-2), Unionville (4-2).
