Registration remains open for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club’s Faceoff Days clinics with pro standout Mike Poppleton.
The clinics are being held every Saturday for six more weeks at the Shipley School lower field at 1080 Wyndon Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA, 19010.

Boys in grades 3 through 12 are eligible to register.
Each Duke Lacrosse faceoff Day will consist of technique along with a substantial amount of time spent on live face-offs. Every Saturday the draw day will start with a normal face-off warm up, dive in deeper with one specific face-off technique (footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, shooting), and will finish with live face-offs and a king of hill.
Poppleton, an All-American at Johns Hopkins, was one of four players that were named to the US National training team in 2013. This summer he was a key member of the MLL runner-up Rochester Rattlers.
“I’m excited and eager to take on faceoff training responsibility; I have years of experience training faceoff players and I understand what it takes to train and compete at the highest level,” said Poppleton. “We’re going to simplify the face-off position and go back to the basics to start to develop all around face-off lacrosse players.”
Poppleton also will serve as a Duke’s assistant coach with the Young Guns Forster staff and will be the Faceoff Director for the Dukes program.
