Pattison Sports Group and Victory Event Series announce the launch of SPORTS CAREER FORUM, an educational and interactive discussion focused on the broad field of sports careers for those interested in working in the sports industry.
The mission of the Sports Career Forum is to bridge the gap between one’s desire to work in sports and understanding all the different jobs that actually exist in sports. The inaugural Sports Career Forum will be held at Saint Joseph’s University Sunday, February 18, 2018.
The day will kick-off at 9:00AM with 97.5 The Fanatic’s Mike Missanelli as the Keynote Speaker followed by a Career Path Panel who will share their own unique career paths. The attendees will then visit their first Breakout Session, followed by lunch in the cafeteria and resuming Breakouts with Sessions 2, 3 and 4. The day will end at 4 pm with Closing Remarks.
The Sports Career Forum is full day experience that allows attendees to hear directly from sports professionals by selecting four out of eight areas of concentration for small size Breakout Sessions. The eight areas of sports career opportunities are Sports Administration, Facility Operations, Broadcasting & Journalism, Event Marketing, Player Personnel, Sales, Statistics & Research and Training/Nutrition & Exercise Science.
This unique format is geared mostly to high school and college students who are working through their career path decisions. The Breakout Sessions are informative and are geared to help attendees navigate college or university decisions that best suit their needs. The Forum will emphasize that not all career paths are the same and there are ample number of jobs in sports.
