From US Lacrosse
The 2016 lacrosse season will open in grand style with three U.S. national teams squads competing against top competition in the inaugural Team USA Spring Premiere. The event will take place on the weekend of Jan. 8-10, 2016 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The U.S. men’s senior team will play defending NCAA champion Denver, the U.S. women’s senior team will play games against NCAA tournament participants Florida and Syracuse, and the U.S. men’s U19 team will play archrival Canada in an early preview of two of the top medal contenders for the 2016 Federation of International Lacrosse U19 World Championship.
“We’re excited to open the lacrosse season with such outstanding competition for our national teams,” said Tony Leko, national teams director for US Lacrosse. “This is a great way to showcase the best talent in the country at a world class venue.”
The final schedule of game dates and times will be announced in the fall. Tickets for the event will go on sale in November.
