The Duke’s MainLine claimed the 2021 A Division championship Sunday at the Victory Events Boys’ Summer Slam by defeating Fusion, 5-4, at Westtown School.
Dukes went 6-0 on the weekend; its first wins in program history.
Wins came over GSLA 5-4, Team United 21/22, 12-1, PA Roughriders 21 Select, 6-3, and Top Caliber, 8-0, in pool play. Dukes Mainline toppled Mesa Futures Blue 21, 7-3, in the semis.
Team MVP was MF/FOGO Jake Methlie (Springfield-Delco ’21).
Offensive MVP was MF Nate Desmond (Ridley ’21).
