From Press Release

Gavin McBride (Haverford School) had at least three goals in 11 of 15 games in 2017. Actually, let’s make that 12 of 16.

McBride, who led Division I in goals scored per game this past season for Princeton, made a huge impact in his Major League Lacrosse debut, scoring three times in the fourth quarter to lead the Denver Outlaws to a 17-14 comeback win over the New York Lizards Saturday in Denver.

The Lizards led 7-2 at one point and 11-6 at halftime before stretching it to seven. The Outlaws came back, and it was McBride who led the way.

McBride’s big debut followed a season in which he set the Princeton single-season record with 54 goals. Zach Currier, McBride’s Princeton teammate, also had a goal for Denver in the win over New York.

Princeton will also be represented in the Major League Lacrosse all-star game by two players and a current assistant coach.

Tom Schreiber, the reigning MLL Most Valuable Player, and Tyler Fiorito are Princeton alums who will play in the game July 8 in Sacramento. Also playing in the all-star game will be assistant coach Jesse Bernhardt.
