Team Philly claimed the silver medal last week at the JCC Maccabi Games lacrosse tournament in Ft. Lauderdale.

Philly fell to host Ft. Lauderdale, 14-7, in the gold medal game.
The Philly team featured Dan Klotz (Manheim Township), Evan Haas (Haverford School), Matt Tucker (Haverford School), Aidan Mantelmacher (Haverford School), Harrison Fellheimer (Haverford School), Austin Novick (Central Bucks South), Eric Sherman (Cherry Hill East), Andrew Austin (Cherry Hill East), Ari Nuham (Cherry Hill East), Aaron Finklestein (Cherry Hill East) and Ethan Tessler (Marlton, NJ). The coaches were Glenn Tobin and Sam Walters (Haverford School teacher).

Team Philly also participated in community service projects at a day care facility for adults with developmental disabilities, working with adults in arts and crafts, baking and friendship activities while also creating a mural.
The JCC Maccabi Games® are an Olympic-style sporting competition held each summer in North America and is the second largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers in the world. Every athlete must participate in a community service project.
