Luke Stansfield profile:

Luke Stansfield
High school: Penn Charter
Grad year: 2017
Position: Attack
College committed to: Drexel University
Club team: Braveheart
Lacrosse honors: 1st Team All-Inter-Ac Sr Year, 2nd Team Jr and Soph Year. 58 goals, 34 assists senior year; 111 career goals
Expected major: Engineering
Why did you choose Drexel? “Coach (Brian) Voelker and Drexel made me feel at home. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and there is no place other than Drexel that would allow me to thrive both in the classroom and on the lacrosse field.”
Highlights from 2017 season: “We had a good season, one where we found ourselves in contention for the league title in the middle of April. This is something that a lot of Penn Charter teams in the past could not accomplish. We also had some huge wins against Haverford, Episcopal, Radnor, and unfortunately lost to Malvern in overtime. Overall, it was a great year for Penn Charter Lacrosse, and we have something to build on in the future. A whole new brand of coaches mixed with a group of young, talented players calls for better seasons in the near future.”
Thank You: “I want to thank my parents for all of the money, sweat, and dedication they have put into my summer and high lacrosse experiences; without my parents I would not be able to play the game I love.
“I also would like to thank Penn Charter for the position it has put me in, and lastly Coach McDonough. He pushed me to be the best person and lacrosse player I could possibly be for the past 4 years, and for that I cannot thank him enough.”
Other school considered: Cleveland State, Saint Joe’s
