Salesianum School, Wilmington Friends, Cape Henlopen and Caesar Rodney advanced to the semifinals of the DIAA Boys Lacrosse State Tournament Saturday.
Five goals by Eric Pincus paced Wilmington Friends to a 7-2 win over Tower Hill. The Quakers advance to play Cape Henlopen Wednesday.
Three goals by Gregory Boyce and Erik Stankofski, and two goals by Brock Maloomian paced Cape to an 11-9 win over the Auks of Archmere. Luke D’Ambrogi scored the game-winner with 2:48 left. The Auks were led each with two goals by Xavier Glavin, Ethan Kates and Mitchell Moyer.
Meanwhile, Salesianum defeated Delaware Military Academy, 18-4, and will meet Caesar Rodney Wednesday in the semis.
Four goals by Jacob Cosden, three by Demetrius Stevenson, and two by Jared Wagonhoffer and Jared Pangle paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 13-9 win over the Jaguars of Appoquinimink. CR scored the game’s final four goals and impressively avenged a 16-4 blitzing at the hands of Appo three weeks earlier.
Cross Ferrara had four goals and Jackson Truitt had three for Appo.
