Preliminary brackets set for Inter-Ac Invitational; No. 2-ranked Culver Academy is defending champion

The 9th Annual Inter-Ac Lacrosse Invitational, by Victory Events, kicks off Monday May 15 with four on campus First Round games. Springside Chestnut Hill will serve as the host of two games while Lawrenceville School and Penn Charter will each host a game.

May 15 Opening Round games:
Game 1 – Germantown Academy (Inter-Ac 6) vs. Hun School (NJ 2) at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 5:15 p.m.
Game 2- Shipley or Academy of the New Church (Friends 2) at Lawrenceville School (NJ 1), 5 p.m.
Game 3 – Hill School (Private 2) at Penn Charter (Inter-Ac 4), 4:15 p.m.
Game 4- Shipley or Academy of the New Church (Friends 1) at Springside CHA (Inter-Ac 5), 3:30 p.m.

Quarterfinal games take place Wednesday, May 17th at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, PA.

The tourney features the six teams from the power Philadelphia Inter-Ac, as well as defending champion Culver Academy (IN), ranked No. 2 in the C2C North America Rankings, as well as South Jersey private powers Lawrenceville School and Hun School, Friends Schools League finalists Academy of the New Church and Shipley School and The Hill School.

Cabrini College’s Edith Robb Dixon Field will resume its role as host of the Semifinals Friday, May 19th at 5:00pm and 7:00pm. The Sports Fan Base Network will air the Semifinals and Finals with the financial help from Rothman Institute Orthopedics through Rothman’s Facebook page.

Opening Round games are FREE. Quarterfinal game tickets cost $5.00 and tickets for the Semifinals and Finals are $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. To purchase tickets, visit http://inter-ac-invitational.ticketleap.com/. Seats are limited at Cabrini College and it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Tailgating at Cabrini College requires a permit for designated areas and no alcohol will be permitted on-site.

First round, May 15

Game 6 – Game 2 winner vs. Inter-Ac 2 (Episcopal Academy or Malvern Prep)
Game 7 – Game 3 winner vs. Culver Academy (Private 1)
Game 8 – Game 4 winner vs. Inter-Ac 3 (Malvern Prep or Episcopal Academy)

Semifinals, May 19 at Cabrini College
Game 9 – Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner, 5 p.m.
Game 10 – Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner, 7 p.m.

Championship, Sunday, TBA
Game 11 – Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner
