Chestnut Hill College landed five players on the all-East Coast Conference team, led by ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, senior Thomas McDermott (Ridley). Also representing the Scarlet and Gold on the All-ECC First Team were senior attack Alec Dambach and senior defenseman Daniel DePasquale. All-ECC Third Team honors were bestowed upon senior attack Tanner Fisher and senior midfielder Andrew Dooley.

McDermott was as a four-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week and the Griffins’ first net-minder to record a goal with a long distance missile in Chestnut Hill College’s 7-6 overtime against #16 LIU Post on March 11. McDermott finished the regular season with an 8-4 overall record and ranked third in the nation for saves (138), eighth for save percentage (.603), and 24th in saves-per-game (11.5). He recorded nine games of 10 saves or more, including a career-high 19 saves in a the Griffins’ victory over the Pioneers.
Dambach led the Scarlet and Gold with 50 regular season points (22 goals, 28 assists), ranking among the ECC’s top-10. His team-high 28 assists ranked him among the league’s top-three helpers. Dambach was a three-time ECC Player of the Week (4/17, 4/3, 2/28) and added 29 ground balls and three caused turnovers to his regular season stats. This is the second All-ECC selection for Dambach, who was named to the Second Team in 2016.
Like McDermott, DePasquale, Fisher, and Dooley were all first-time All-ECC performers. DePasquale finished the regular season as the Griffins’ leader in caused turnovers (15) while hunting down 27 ground balls.
Fisher saved his best season for last, totaling a career-high 39 points with a career-high 31 goals and eight assists. He also totaled ten ground balls and a caused turnover.
Dooley earned the final ECC Player of the Week honor of the season with his Chestnut Hill College record-tying, six-goal effort in the Griffins’ 16-7 victory at Molloy College on April 29. He finished the regular season with 19 goals, 10 assists, 29 points, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
