Sophomore goalie Greg Price (Holy Ghost Prep, Twist) was named the Northeast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Coming off the bench Friday night at Wagner, Price made 11 saves as the Pioneers closed the regular season with a 13-11 win over the Seahawks. This is the first weekly award in Price’s career. He was named to the NEC All-Rookie Team in 2016.
The Pioneers take on top-seeded Hobart on Thursday, May 4 at 1 p.m. in the NEC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament at Hobart. This is Sacred Heart’s first appearance in the NEC Tournament since 2014 and third overall.
