Each week the USILA and BSN Sports will honor the National Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week. USILA and BSN Sports is proud to announce the Players of the Week for the week of April 10 – April 16, 2017.
DIVISION I – DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ryan Kern
Ryan Kern, United States Naval Academy, Patriot League, G, Fr. – Middletown, DE, Salesianum School, Duke’s LC
Ryan Kern made his Army-Navy debut and played the best game of his collegiate career, helping the Midshipmen to a victory over nationally-ranked Army on Saturday. The freshman helped hold the academy rival to tie a season low of six goals, while making a career-best 17 saves, including 10 saves on 15 shots in the fourth quarter. He now has 114 saves on the season, which are the most made by a Navy freshman goalkeeper since 1997.
DIVISION I – OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Reid Bowering, Drexel University, CAA, A, Fr. – Coquitlam, BC
Reid Bowering had career highs of five goals and seven points in Drexel’s come from behind win over nationally-ranked Hofstra. Three of his five goals came during the fourth quarter comeback. His most crucial point came with 1:02 left in regulation as he set up his teammate for the game winner. Bowering also added four ground balls.
