Washington Township High School (NJ) 2017 defensive midfielder and face-off specialist Cross Zavada has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Gwynedd Mercy University.

Why did you choose GMU? “The school was the best fit for me, I liked everything about the student athlete perspective and that Gwynedd Mercy has one of the highest GPA’s for the lacrosse program and they are very proud of that. I was also impressed and really liked the coaching staff at Gwynedd Mercy they are willing to work with you in every aspect. They have a good lacrosse program and is heading in the right direction.”
HS team’s Outlook for 2017 season? “This past year we got a new head coach who is awesome and really brings life and support to our team. We have 11 returning varsity players this year. We are playing in a very competitive group and we have a great shot and going far and winning our county cup.”
Thank You: “I would like to Thank my Shamrocks coaches they helped and taught me so much in the off seasons. I would also like to thank my high school coach he started us off great in the off season when he would give everyone optional activities to do. Also, my face-off coach taught me so much I needed to know with face-offs and I should have a great season ahead of me because of that. Lastly I would like to thank my parents for always being there for me and bringing me to all my events and with all of the off season stuff they helped me with.”
