Avon Grove 2020 defenseman James Chastain has made a commitment to the admissions process at the United States Air Force Academy.

What do you plan to major in? Undecided at this time
Why did you choose the school? “It’s a lot different from other schools. I’m not going there to be treated like anything special because I’m an athlete. We’re all going there to serve. I visited multiple times and feel that I already know and love the campus. AFA is an amazing life opportunity and playing Division I lacrosse is a dream.
“Lacrosse-wise, it’s a ways away but I look forward to being an impact player for the program. They watched me this summer with the and through the fall and showed me a lot of love. I enjoyed my time with the team and got to experience life in their shoes a couple times. I’m excited that you can train in the outdoors there too, it’s going to be so cool.”
HS team’s Outlook for 2017 season: “I’m really excited to just be a part of the program. My older brother is on the team and I have known our coaches for a while so I’m ready to get to work with the team. It would be awesome to earn some time and help the team win this spring.”
