The National 175/Passport Alliance Best of the Best Club Team Tournament will be held on June 29-30, bringing top regional clubs from around the nation and Canada to compete on Long Island for a championship.
In assembling these top clubs directors focused on building a truly national event that would draw a high volume of college coaches. Ninety coaches attended last year. The list of coaches that attended last year can be found here.
This event has evolved as an annual showcase for the UNKNOWNS TO BECOME THE KNOWNS. While attracting top clubs from around the country directors have seen some new programs that have grown into highly reputable programs come to the event and achieve great things.
We all know the “name” club programs, but the sport is no longer about two or three hotbeds. Instead it is about the entire USA and Canada and the college coaches are combing the nation for the next diamond in the rough that contributes talent and diversity to their program.
If you have a strong club program and would like to be considered for this event – please contact Al Lattell (alattell@bu.edu) for more information.
The 2017 event already has commitments from many of the top club teams from around the nation and Canada: Ct Chargers, DOCO, Dukes, LI Outlaws, NJ Riot, Team Long Island, Team Minnesota, Team Turnpike, Twist and Evolve (Canada) are just a short list of those attending.
There are still a few spots open in each grad year and directors are seeking to bring clubs that are from different parts of the country that have not attended in the past.
Directors are thrilled to announce that there will be a club team traveling all the way from ENGLAND to be a part of the 2017 event.
The Best of the Best is both a high school event and youth event, offering divisions for grad years from 2018-2021 in our high school event and 2022-2025 in our youth event. The high school event is traditionally geared towards AA & A programs and the youth will have AA, A & B offerings as vetted by the tournament coordinators.
