From Press Release

Head coach Jim Rogalski of the Lafayette men’s lacrosse team rounded out his coaching staff on Tuesday morning, adding Scott Bieda as the program’s volunteer assistant coach.

Bieda was a standout performer at Rutgers, where he graduated in 2016 with a degree in Finance. He was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2016 and was named to the All-Tournament Team three times during his career. Additionally, he earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2015 and 2016 and second-team laurels his sophomore season in 2014.

“I am pleased to announce the addition of Scott Bieda to our staff,” Rogalski said. “Scott has excelled on the field at the highest levels of lacrosse and those experiences will serve him well as a college lacrosse coach. He has a bright future in the college coaching ranks and we are excited to welcome him to the Lafayette lacrosse family.”

In addition to his prowess on the field, Bieda also excelled in the classroom as he was a Dean’s List honoree in 2014 and a member of the National Honor Society. Bieda was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team all four years at Rutgers.

The Leopards will get their 2017 season underway in less than a month, traveling to Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on Michigan on Feb. 11. Opening faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
