From Press Release
Arguably one of most successful goalkeepers to come through the Saint Joseph’s men’s lacrosse program since its inception in 1993, T.J. Jones (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) had a season for the record books last spring. Then a junior, Jones ranked third nationally in both goals against average (school-record 7.47) and save percentage (57.9%), and just two days after being named the 2016 Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Jones backstopped his squad to its second consecutive title game in as many years.

The goalkeeper out of Basking Ridge, N.J. is primed for a memorable senior season, and Inside Lacrosse magazine agrees, as Jones has been tabbed a 2017 Preseason All-American Honorable Mention goalkeeper selection by the publication.
Jones, a tri-captain this year, will enter his senior season as SJU’s program record-holder in single-season (12) and career (26) wins, with a career 7.80 goals against average and 55.4 save percentage in 2108:21 minutes.
Jones and the Hawks open the 2017 campaign at home against Maryland, ranked third in Inside Lacrosse’s Preseason Poll after finishing as the 2016 NCAA runner-up.
