From Press Release

The University of Pennsylvania’s James H. Greene, Jr. Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse, Mike Murphy, has announced the program’s Class of 2020. Thirteen young men have joined the Penn program, and will be freshmen for the 2017 season.

“We are excited about the Penn Lacrosse Class of 2020,” said Murphy, who enters his eighth season overseeing the Quakers program. “It is a strong group athletically, with depth at each position. Based on what we have seen this fall, it seems like a number of them are ready to contribute already. It is a great group of young men who will help our program win, but I also feel they will succeed in the classroom and represent our program and the University of Pennsylvania the right way and ultimately go out into the world and make significant contributions.”

Penn’s freshman class was recently selected 18th nationally by Inside Lacrosse. In addition to ranking Penn’s class overall, Inside Lacrosse named three of Penn’s freshmen among its Power 100 Freshmen of 2016: defender Mark Evanchick (41), goalkeeper Alex deMarco (59), and attackman Adam Goldner (71). Two other players — defensemen Ryan Murray and Kyle Thornton — were named Top 40 at their position.
