COLUMBIA, Md. – The Players who Shined from last weekend’s Big 12 Fall Lacrosse Invitational.
Najee Taylor-Loyola Academy (IL) 2019 Duke LC, Midfielder- Taylor can move up and down the field well. Very athletic. Has a good shot on goal when on the run. Just committed to Notre Dame.

Eastern York 2019 MF Cole Witman (Duke’s L.C.)
Wilson Sands-Highland Park (TX) 2019 C2C, Attackman – I’ve mentioned Sands in my Top Players from C2C Spotlight last month, but it is hard to not include him after seeing him play against tough comp at the Big 12 Invitational and making the all star game. One of the best left handed shots. Great footwork and dodges well. Curious to see where Sands lands.
Tommy Hellman-Darien (CT) 2019 CT Chargers- The way Hellman plays the game is eye-catching. The Darien soph has a great shot on cage and he hustles from D-mid to O-mid. Fun to watch.
Zachary Coar- La Salle College HS (PA) 2019 Dukes LC, attack- Coar is a threat from behind the cage, up top, or on the wings. His shot on cage is lethal and he can shoot with both hands. Great skill set.
Cole Witman – Eastern York (PA) 2019 Dukes LC, Midfield – Witman is a big, physical and well conditioned middie. Love how he moves the ball. Good fundamentals. Another fun player to watch and should be a star at the next level.
Charles Wassberg- Plano West (TX) 2018 C2C, goalie- The way Wassberg has played this summer combined with this fall, the Plano West junior should be closing in on a college home soon. The C2C product makes the tough saves and has good awareness of where the ball is. Wassberg played in the entire all star game at the Big 12 Invitational. He put on a show for the coaches in attendance.
Will Sherwood – Archbishop Spalding (MD) 2019 Annapolis Hawks, midfielder- Sherwood caught my eye in the 2019 All Star Game with his unselfishness, his ability to do the little things like hustle on and off the field and encourage his teammates, and he made a lovely pass to Spencer Wirtheim of Orange Crush for a goal.
Robert Seeley- Marcellus (NY) 2019 Orange Crush, Goalie- Seeley made some big saves in the all star game. The sophomore netminder has quick hands and moves the ball up field without panicking.
Zach Dudley- Boys’ Latin (MD) 2020 Annapolis Hawks, FOGO – Dudley is a future star for the Lakers in the making. The freshman is quick and does a good job getting to the ground ball after a faceoff win. The 2020 Hawks group is impressive and Dudley is one of the reasons why.
Casey McDermott – Brighton (NY) 2020 Sweetlax, Attackman – Casey has a solid game and the freshman has a good lax I.Q. The recent Johns Hopkins commit had a beautiful goal against the Rock 2020 team.
