From Press Release
The University of Pennsylvania’s James H. Greene, Jr. Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse, Mike Murphy, has announced the Quakers’ 2017 schedule. Penn’s 13-game slate features five home games, a meeting with High Point in Baltimore, and a return to the ACC Championship to meet one of that conference’s powerful programs. This year’s ACC Championship will take place at Koskinen Stadium on the campus of Duke University. Three teams on this year’s schedule played in last year’s NCAA Championship: Yale (first-round), Navy (quarterfinalist) and Brown (semifinalist).
“We are very excited about our 2017 schedule,” said Murphy, who enters his eighth season as Penn’s head coach. “We consistently try to schedule the best opponents available and feel that this 2017 schedule is consistent with that. It’s great to add a team like Navy which brings a strong program, a rich tradition, and a first class institution. Our Ivy slate will be extremely challenging, as usual, including home games against Princeton, Yale and Dartmouth. Our regular season will culminate with the ACC Championship game, which will be a great experience for our student-athletes. We have our work cut out for us, but we are up for the challenge and excited to work hard in preparation for the 2017 season.”
Ticket information for the 2017 season will be released in early January.
