From Press Release
The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team is hard at work preparing for its fall schedule, which is highlighted by the Fourth Annual HEADstrong University City Classic on Sunday, Oct. 16.
The Mountain Hawks will face Syracuse and Saint Joseph’s as part of the tournament to support the HEADstrong Foundation, a nonprofit organization that improves the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. Lehigh will also host its annual Community Night and Alumni Game on Friday, Oct. 7.
The Mountain Hawks’ first fall event is next Friday, Oct. 7, with Community Night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. as local youngsters are encouraged to come out to the Ulrich Sports Complex and learn from Lehigh men’s lacrosse players and coaches. Everyone is then welcome to stick around and catch the 2016-17 Mountain Hawks for the first time as they face an alumni team in an 8 p.m. scrimmage.
Lehigh will head to the University City Classic the following weekend, which will take place at Penn Park at the University of Pennsylvania. The Mountain Hawks will face Saint Joseph’s at 10 a.m. and Syracuse at 11:30 a.m. on James “Ace” Adams Field.

The Mountain Hawks advanced to their sixth straight Patriot League Tournament last season. The season saw three seniors earn All-League honors, while the senior class set the table for an impressive core of youngsters. Among the underclass standouts were freshman long-stick midfielder Craig Chick, the nation’s leader with 37 caused turnovers, and freshman attackman Tristan Rai, who finished the year second on the Mountain Hawks in goals (31) and points (41).
