West Chester East 2017 defenseman Collin Murray has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Bellarmine University.
Collin Murray profile:

Collin Murray
High School: West Chester East High School
Graduation Year: 2017
Position: Defense
College Committed to: Bellarmine University
Club affiliation: Team ManUp
Lacrosse Honors: WC East Defensive MVP of 2016; Honorable Mention All Ches-Mont League- Sophomore & Junior Years

What will you major in/study? Business Administration and Spanish
Why did you choose the school? “I chose BU because it offers the major and minor degree programs that I am planning to pursue. BU has a beautiful campus in a great area and the size is not too small or too large, and where I would be more than just a number. Also, I am able to get a great education while playing the sport I love at the D1 level with and against many of the best lacrosse players in the country.”
HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “I think the outlook for this year looks very good and I am excited and confident about the upcoming season. In addition to having a lot of returning starters, I think with a year’s experience under their belt, our young guys can step up and back fill the positions vacated by last year’s graduates.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents, Phil and Gail Murray, for all of their support over the last 5 years by giving up much of their time to take me to weekend tournaments as well as attending every lacrosse game I have ever played. Thank you to the Bellarmine University Coaching staff – Coach Burns, Coach Sothoron and Coach Tully for seeing my potential and offering me this great opportunity and bringing me into the Bellarmine family. I want to thank Coach Jim Schorn, my Man UP and West Chester East High School Coach, for mentoring and helping me to develop into the player I am today as well as for support and direction throughout this process. I would also like to thank the coaching staff from East High School that assisted Coach Schorn including Coach Greg Murray, Coach Michael Dunn, Coach Ethan and Coach Kimina.”
