Germantown Academy 2017 midfielder James Thatcher has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Roanoke College.

Why did you choose this school? “I really liked the campus when I visited and got along well with the coaches. I also think that Roanoke will give me a good chance to be very successful while playing in college. I’m also excited to continue playing into college with my high school goalie, Leroy Moser.”
Outlook for 2017 HS season? “I definitely think it would be a successful 2017 season if we could finish on the top end of the table in the very competitive Inter-Ac.”
People to thank: “I would like to thank my parents for supporting me through all the years I’ve played; and all my prior and current coaches, including my high school coaches, Brian Grady and Mike O’Brien. I would also like to thank my club coaches, OMB and Ryan White, for their help with me the past few summers.”
