For the second time in two days, a Philly team nearly stunned the top-ranked team in North America.

The undefeated and No. 1 Hill Academy of Ontario came to Philly Friday and faced a huge challenge before topping La Salle, 12-10. On Saturday, Salesianum took the Pride (9-0) to overtime before falling, 10-9, on a goal by standout Jeff Teat.

Salesianum led, 4-2, late in the first half before Hill scored three unanswered goals to take a 5-4 second-half lead. In the fourth period Salesianum held a 9-7 lead, but Hill tied it and Teat won it with his fifth tally of the game.

“I’m so proud of our team the way we competed today – both defensively and offensively,” said Sals coach Bobby Healy. “This game will help us down the stretch. We played outstanding in the second half and we’re both physically and mentally tough.”

Mike Drake had two goals and two assists for the Sals, who are 8-2 with losses only to Hill and nationally-ranked Culver Academy. Garrett Cannon had two goals and an assist and Tayler Witherill had two goals while Patrick Drake had a goal and two assists and Luke Bianchino had a goal and an assist. Brett Hobbs scored once and Brady Emmi posted 10 saves in goal.
