There was about a minute to go in the fourth quarter when Tyler Blaisdell had an open Lehigh net to shoot on and missed. It was about the only thing Tuesday night that went wrong for Blaisdell on Sherrerd Field, and it came about 10 minutes after the game had been salted away.
Oh, and his shot was from about 75 yards away.

The rest of the night? Blaisdell was dialed in.
Blaisdell made 10 saves to lead Princeton to a 13-6 win over Lehigh Tuesday night in front of 821 fans as the Tigers snapped a four-game losing streak. When it was over, Princeton could look ahead to the final three Saturdays of the season, with league games against Dartmouth (home Saturday at 3), at Harvard and then home against Cornell.
While Blasidell was strong in the Princeton net, three Princeton players combined to find the Lehigh net 10 times. Ryan Ambler (Abington) scored four times, and added three assists for a seven-point night, and Austin Sims and Gavin McBride (Haverford School) scored three times each.
The win was the first of the head coaching career of Princeton interim coach Matt Madalon. It improved the Tigers to 3-7 on the season, while Lehigh fell to 6-6.
Princeton never trailed in the game, and it was never tied after 1-1, which was the score at the end of the first quarter. Princeton used a three-goal second quarter run to build a three-goal lead at 4-1, led 5-2 at the break and then doubled up Lehigh 8-4 in the second half.
Tristan Rai led Lehigh with two goals and an assist and Ian Strain (Episcopal Academy) had a goal and an assist.
GAME NOTES
* Princeton is now 2-0 on Tuesday nights, including its 10-7 win over Rutgers from March 14. Blaisdell has a 6.50 goals-against average and .649 save percentage in the two Tuesday games.
* Ambler moved to within three points of Dave Tickener for 11th place all-time in scoring at Princeton and four points away from Justin Tortolani for 10th. Ambler’s seven-point night gave him 160 points for his career, with 74 goals and 86 assists, and his assist total is the eighth best in program history. He also joined Kevin Lowe, Jon Hess, Tom Schreiber and Dave Heubeck as the only Princeton players with more than 70 career goals and 80 career assists.
* Sims had his fifth-straight multi-goal game, giving him a team-best 20 goals on the year, of which 15 have come in the last five games. Sims had five goals for his career prior to the start of this current streak.
* McBride had three goals in this game after having a career-high four against Lehigh a year ago. He now has a point in 25 straight games.
* Riley Thompson, Zach Currier and Carter Flaig had one goal each for the Tigers.
* Lehigh’s Craig Chick tied the Sherrerd Field record with eight caused turnovers, equalling Villanova’s Brian Karalunas.
